INVESTIGATING CASTLES IN BOOKS:
Using the books the families brought to school, kids thought of the things we would need to create our own castle.
MAKING TORCHES: we discovered that there was no electricity in medieval times, so we made torches and a big lamp to light our castle:
MAKING THE WINDOWS: the kids decided to imitate the pretective windows they found in the castles' books.
THE DRAWBRIDGE AND CHAINS: to protect our castle we needed a drawbridge and in order to lift it we needed chains
THE OUTSIDE OF THE CASTLES: The teachers placed the brown paper and the kiddos decorated :)
DRAMATIC PLAY: THE CASTLE KITCHEN
