TRYING TO KEEP MYSELF ORGANIZED

Organization is my everyday battle. Papers everywhere, units and project activities and ideas, kids info and assessment....

During the past two weekends I organized my classroom folder, my projects resources box and my phonics folders:

KINDERGARTEN WORK ORGANIZATION

This the folder where I keep all the activities and ideas for our class work. They are organized by topics.

In the resources box I store all the worksheets, posters, flashcards and manipulatives in folders by topic.

and in this boxes I keep the books and stories by theme.

PHONICS FOLDER:
This is the first one of my phonics folders. It is the one i'm using with my three year old students. We work on alphabet recognition and phonemic awareness. I store activities descriptions and materials to be used.

MY CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT FOLDER:
on the left you can see the classroom management folder and on the right my weekly schedule notebook. in the second one I program my classes:

I have my timetable attached. As we work in a bilingual school, my spanish cotutor and I share two classes. (the blues and the yellows).
this is how i organize my weeks: i colore the square according to the class i will be in and write down the programmed activities.

Now you can take a look at the inside of the classroom management folder:

I have the class music, my timetable and both classes timetables:
 STUDENTS INFO SECTION:
kids photos so if we have a substitute they will know the kids faces:
we also have a kids info sheet that i forgot to take a picture of.
individual meetings info: we write downs families preferred time for individual meeting (morning or noon)
e-mail adresses:
bus and canteen kids: we keep record of the kids staying at the canteen or going by bus.
we write down if the kids brought to school the materials needed at the beginning of the school year:
ANNUAL PROGRAM, RUTINES AND BEHAVIOR , CENTER WORK...
Our annual program with the objectives of the school year set by the law and adapted at school.

This document is very important for us as we write down what we have been working on and in which language. So we know if we are missing something or if we work too much on something.

STUDENTS ASSESSMENT:
notes about kids performance in specific activities at centers:
In here we also have kids term evaluation, and teacher meeting notes on the kids. as well as projects and units evaluations.

BIRTHDAY NOTES: when it's their birthdat kids bring a special snack for their classmates so we inform parents through this form:

hopefully i'll be pretty organized next year.
