CHRISTMAS IN 3 YEARS OLD

Hi everyone!!
These past weeks have been crazy! We have been preparing our Christmas plays; we made a mix of the three little pigs in spanish and  we acted out "I love my white shoes" and we sang two songs in English. It meant a lot of work and overexcited kids for weeks but we had real fun showing our acting qualities.

Here are the results:

what  have we been up to these days?:

-We discovered a lot of things about Santa, we wrote down things we know about him and sang some songs.

-Then using stickers and cotton we created a "Santa Claus bulletin board"

We also sorted numbers 0 and 1

We decorated the classroom and school hallways with ornaments made by the kids at home:

FALLING INTO FALL

Hello there!
These past weeks we have been working on Autumn as the leaves finally started falling from the trees in our town.

INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITY:
To introduce the topic we draw a big autumn tree on the board and ask the kids what it was.
We learned the word TREE and then we asked what was missing from the tree. (Leaves) what color are the leaves of a tree? (green) what happens in autumn? Leaves fall from the trees. What color are leaves in autumn? Using real leaves we showed them brown, yellow and red leaves. We learned that green leaves stay in some trees and that brown yellow and red leaves always fall down.

WE WENT ON A LEAF HUNT.
To see leaves in real life and analyze tree trunks and their touch after recess both classes went on a leaf hunt and tree observation expedition around the playground. While we took a look at the trees and their leaves Asun told us lots of things about autumn. We also touched the tree trunks to see how rough or smooth they were.

OUR FAVORITE LEAF AND GRAPHING LEAVES:
We chose one of the leaves from our expedition and we described it (color and size). We added it to our leaf hunt poster and then we graph how many colorful leaves we had. We had lots of fun using our rolling brushes.

SORTING LEAVES:
Using hoops we sorted leaves by color, size and shape. Color and size sorting was easy but shape was pretty difficult but it was real fun anyways.

OUR AUTUMN LEAVES:
Using tissue paper we transformed a green leaf into an autumn leaf.

SMARTBOARD ACTIVITIES:
We have been playing a few fall games on the smart board and we had lots of fun:
