ORAL MATH PROBLEMS IN KINDERGARTEN

Hi there!
I just uploaded an oral math problems set to my TPT store. (click on the picture to get to it). There you can find oral activities to practice arithhmetics with your kindergarteners. There are sequencing problems with sequencing cards, questions where the answer is included in the question, questions that are unable to  be resolved with the information given and arithmetic problems.

I use them twice a week with my students to practice math concepts orally as required in the spanish kindergarten standards.

I hope you find them useful.

TEACHER APPRECIATION DAY

On Sunday it's teacher's appreciation day in Navarra, so yesterday we discussed with our students the importance of teachers in our lives. We also wanted them to understand how important they are to us by creating this bulletin board where we were pirates and they were our treasures.

In this last picture you can see me and my spanish co-teacher Asun, She is the one behind the chest.

LIBRARY TIME AT CATALINA DE FOIX.

The 5 year old kids have been very busy visiting the library to read three adorable autumn books.

FLETCHER AND THE LEAVES: The students favorite part was when the tree lost all its leaves and it turned blue because of the cold weather: look at the adorable drawings.

ONE WINDY WEDNESDAY:

This story is sooo fun, the kids enjoyed it very much and did amazing drawings. See one example

RUSSELL THE SHEEP:
This is an amazing story sooooo amusing. Russell is a sheep that can't sleep and tries to do everything he can think of to fall asleep. We discuss what we do when we can't sleep and kids made a drawing of their favourite part.

MORE AND MORE APPLES

This are our apple related math activities: First kids did sums and number recognition

In order to practice our spacial and temporal knowledge we sequence this apple.

We learned about the life cycle of an apple tree and then the kids color and complete the sequence.

These are our adorable apple people!!!!

and now we have to get ready for Christmas time. I am sooooo excited!!

AN APPLE INVESTIGATION AND 10 APPLES UP ON TOP by Dr. Seuss

EXPERIMENT: AN APPLE INVESTIGATION ( I can't find the blog where i got this great idea)
In small groups kids analyze a real apple seeing all its parts and completing a simple worksheet. They loved this activity specially the apple print part :)

TEN APPLES UP ON TOP.
My students loooooved the story 10 apples up on top by Dr. Seuss. After reading it we created our class book: I gave each kid a card with one number and they had to cut and glue the appropriate number of apples on top of them, complete the sentence and draw themselves. Some of the drawings are simply amazing.

APPLES APPLES EVERYWHERE

WHAT APPLE TASTES BEST?

We graph our favourite apples by giving each kid an apple to color and then place on the chart to later on analyze it.

AN APPLE INVESTIGATION( I can't find the blog where i got this great idea) Kids completed this activity describing apples.

APPLES UP ON TOP part 1

                    APPLES APPLES
UP ON TOP

We started our apples week by talking about where apples and other fruits and vegetables grow.  On the board we drew fruit and vegetables according to where we think they grow to then complete a simple worksheet by coloring cutting and gluing accordingly.

Using a poster we learned the parts of an apple to then label our apples.

FALL ARTS AND CRAFTS IN 5aC CLASS

We studied Giusseppe Arcimboldo and specially his work AUTUMN. We learned things about him, his life and work.

We then created our own autumn scenes and an interpretation of the author.

In Spanish they work with this adorable unknown work:
