FALLING INTO FALL

this week we have been learning a lot of things about leaves.

To introduce the unit we went on a leaf hunt to the playground. Each kid brought two or three leaves and then in class they chose one and described it. We asked them about size (big/medium/small), color and stem lenght. We put then in a chart and then we graphed them by color. 

            

                                  

WE DID A LEAF EXPERIMENT I don't remember where i got the idea but this is what we did. 

first, we draw and color our leaf in our leaf book

Then, we measured the length of our leaves

We analyzed the capacity of our leaf

We saw that our leaf floated

We then, saw how many coins we needed to sink it.

We dropped our leaf to the floor and counted how long it took it to reach it.
