KINDERGARTEN GARDEN, EATING AND COLORING EXPERIMENTS

During the last term we went on a field trip to an organic garden where we could see different types of plants, trees, flowers and fruits and veggies.
Kids were more than happy to try raw veggies coming from the ground:





so we couldn't think of anything better than a  garden project:

We introduced the topic with the adorable story TOPS AND BOTTOMS. and then discussed what food comes from tops or bottoms.
                                           


we made our own garden in the hallway discussing if the different food comes from the soil, plants or the ground:










We talked about what parts of the plants we eat: seeds, roots, stem, leaves or flowers and made an eating experiment:



                                 










A CELERY COLORING EXPERIMENT:
in order to understand how plants absorb water we did this simple experiment by placing celer stalks in colored water:
