WE LOVE PETE THE CAT

We finally met Pete the Cat and the kids simply love him and his story and song.

We started by discovering the story "I love my white shoes" and two days later Pete the Cat appeared in class to stay with us.

Paul and Maria found Pete ( he was hiding on the shelf) and we kissed and hugged him.
We are excited he is part of our class.

We also like putting shoes on Pete's feet

PETE THE CAT IN 3 YEARS

Hello there:

Before starting working with Halloween we have been having a blast with Pete the Cat. The kiddos looooove his stories (so far we read "I love my white shoes" and "Rocking in my school shoes") and adore singing his songs.

In our table time work we have been coloring Pete and placing a sticker in his nose, and we have also completed a Path from Pete to strawberries, blueberries and mud using stickers.

We have been also playing games such as the snap game in order to learn the name of some colors in english:

After reading "rocking in my school shoes" we took a tour in our school to discover the different rooms in there (library, canteen, computers room, teachers' room...) we took photos and we created a class book to keep in our class library and to take home and show our school to our families.

THIS WEEK IN PICTURES: GETTING USED TO TABLE WORK AND PETE THE CAT

I am linking up with Clutter-Free Classroom's Sunday Snapshots Linky Party

This week we have been trying to learn to work in centers at the table. It's not very easy to explain 3 years old that they cannot always play with whatever they want but after a few attempts we pretty much got it although we are still having problems swaping center.... no worries as we have plenty of time to practice this.

Here you can see our pegs center, drawing center, sewing center and of course the infamous plasticine center.

we have also been practicing our fine motorskills with a simple activity where we had to place stickers in our route to school.

but in our class there is also time to play freely at whatever we want:

look what lucas did:  An amazing car. These kids are so creative

We have also been working with Pete The Cat, I told them "I love my white shoes" and they absolutely loveeeed it... we have been reading the story at least twice a day and they are even starting to sing the song and saying some color words.
