THIS WEEK IN PICTURES: GETTING USED TO TABLE WORK AND PETE THE CAT

I am linking up with Clutter-Free Classroom's Sunday Snapshots Linky Party

This week we have been trying to learn to work in centers at the table. It's not very easy to explain 3 years old that they cannot always play with whatever they want but after a few attempts we pretty much got it although we are still having problems swaping center.... no worries as we have plenty of time to practice this.

Here you can see our pegs center, drawing center, sewing center and of course the infamous plasticine center.

we have also been practicing our fine motorskills with a simple activity where we had to place stickers in our route to school.

but in our class there is also time to play freely at whatever we want:

look what lucas did:  An amazing car. These kids are so creative

We have also been working with Pete The Cat, I told them "I love my white shoes" and they absolutely loveeeed it... we have been reading the story at least twice a day and they are even starting to sing the song and saying some color words.

RULES AND ROUTINES IN 3 YEARS OLD

So this was the last week of our adaptation to school period which means that next week there will not be two teacher all the time in class and i am guessing we will have more than one toilet problem...
Next week afternoon classes start so it may be a bit difficult for them to adapt to  full school timing from 9 to 16,30 which means canteen and transportation will be part of our everyday.
Although some of the kids have already started eating at the canteen and coming to school by bus and they have been amazing

So far i am more than happy to be with the little ones. They are getting used to school, us and the rules and rutines pretty well. We have a lot of work to do on their autonomy but that's what 3 years old is all about, right?

This is part of our work on class rules:

When we get to the classroom we take our coats off and hang them in the coat racks and then we place our snack bags on the rack under the board.

Then we hear the song "make a circle" we get ready and sit at the assembly.
we take a look at the behavior bulletin board and revise the circle time rules.

We also know that we have to sit criss cross and put up our hand to speak.

We also try to line up as quietly as possible when we leave the room.

BACK TO SCHOOL IN 3 YEARS OLD

We are officially back at school. Kids arrived on thursday... it was their first school day ever... they are soo tiny( 3 years old) and adorable some of them cried but we managed....

For two weeks they are coming in two groups of ten, one hour and a half each group.
The 17th the whole class is coming at the same time... we will see how it goes.

On Monday when i came back to Pamplona my class looked like this:

And....these are some pictures of my class right now. (after three days of hardwork trying to get everything ready for the kids) I still have some things to place and all the routines are still to be hanged on the board.

Look at as we already have new friends:
