CRAZY TIME

So this next month and a half will be crazy. I have my examinations in order to teach in a public school in Spain so i have to keep studying reeeeally hard and preparing myself to show my program to a bunch of teachers waiting to grade my work. It has been a whole year preparing myself for this and will do my best, hoping that they will like the materials i have created with the help of the ideas of the amazing teachers i follow.

Just wish me luck and if i get it will be in part thank to you.

WELCOME TO THE RAINFOREST

Right know my first and second grade students are learning about the rainforest. We have learnt the names of some of the animals in the rainforest, we have also seen some national geographic and bbc videos to understand the rainforest better. And next week they will be developing some activities about the different layers. I have upload some of the activities to my tpt store(simply click on the picture).

If you have a look at them just let me know what you think.

BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT

This is how we manage behavior in my kindergarten, first and second gradeat the academy.

The first picture is my group behavior chart, i got the idea from  sparklebox.  So far my students have been good enough to be able to stay out of red light ;). This chart contains the classroom rules too, also from sparklebox.

As for individual behavior and work habit control I use these behavior charts (they are in spanish) that I complete following the traffic lights codes and I hand to the parents after every didactic unit along with the information of all the things we have been doing throughout the unit and all the new words and structures we have learnt in English.

Here you can see my pointers, they are of great use because I don't have to repeat over and over again that they need to speak quietly or raise their hands, pay attention or line up quietly. This amazing tools do it for me. And so far they have been working like magic: inmediate response.

my english as a foreign language class

I introduce you to my EFL ESL class, this will be my last month in this class, I've been teaching in this academy since i finished my university studies four years ago, so i am a bit sad but i am also excited of what's coming next.
I am going to miss my students so much.... it has been 4 years with them. They were so little and now they are so big and they have learnt so many things... I am incredibly proud of them. And they have taught me so many things about effort, creativity, humanity, loyalty...

This was my little english kindergarten and first grade class from 2007 to 2010

This year the academy changed its location so this is my new classroom, we have a lovely view of the street, though sometimes we get a bit distracted... haha
