BARNABY BEAR COMEs TO CLASS
2 months ago, we received this parcel in our class. Inside we found a teddy bear that came from London to visit Zizur and go to the kids homes to spend some time with them.
Barnaby's first day we completed this simple activity.
Every two days kids took barnaby as his bag home. They spent two days together and took pictures with him. They did such an incredible job. i am really proud of how much all the families have collaborated in this project.
Have a look:
these are us with all our teddies. Tomorrow is graduation day and friday is our last day of school with the kids. I'm going to miss these kiddos soooooooo much.

Today was our last day with Barnaby (he has to come back to london) So the kids brought their favorite teddies to do different activities and have a fantastic day. |
We measured them by bears or other animals and clothes and no clothes |
then we ordered them from small to big |
Then the kids completed a very simple activity about our teddies.

MEET EDD AND EMMA THE ENTOMOLOGISTS
Today we learned that entomologists are the people that study insects and other bugs and because of them we can read and discover things about these animals.
We recited Deanna's poem and had a look at the entomologist poster to later on complete a simple activity where we draw ourselves as entomologists and promised to treat insects well.
we also created magnifying glasses because tomorrow we are going to look for bugs in our school.

COMPARING ANTS AND BEES
The kids tried to say in English things they knew or have learned about bees and ants and this is the result:
Then we complete a graph comparing bees and ants (Deanna's graph idea):
Only two weeks till the school year is over. It was better that i could ever imagine, and now we have to work on out graduation program and prepare our diplomas and graduation photograph.
BUZZING BEES AND MARCHING ANTS
To start learning about bees we sang two chants "Here is the behive" and "baby bumble bee".
Then through a poster we learned some facts about bees and completed a simple activity. To later on create our own bees. (idea taken from lilteacher.com)
Using kaleidoscope we investigated how bees and other insects see and completed a simple activity by Deanna Jump.
We also learned about ants complete a similar activity and made a craft.
Tomorrow we are going to compare ants and bees and next week we will discover who the entomologists are.
Along this work we are also doing our end of kindergarten evaluation in english and spanish hopefully the kids will do a great job.

GOING BUGGY IN 5 years C
So the school year is about to come to an end and we are working on creepy crawlers as we get ready for our kindergarten graduation.
We started by reading the story about insects by Deanna Jump. We introduce the bugs through flashcards and then we sort them by insects (six legs, head torax abdomen, antennae, sometimes wings) or other bugs.
Most of the activities done in this unit are taken from Deanna's work or based on it.
Through this poster we revised the different bugs and said somethings about each one of them.
Then we learned the parts of an insect and completed an activity simplified from Deanna's work where kids drew an insect pointing out its different body parts.
BUG RIDDLES: CAN YOU BE A BUG DETECTIVE?
We used these posters to try and guess the different bugs. After i said described bugs and they tried to guess. They also tried to do it.
