In order to help kids order their ideas and express themselves better we use this chart differentiating what animals can do, what they have and how they are.
CHIT CHAT A SHARED WRITING ON TIGERS
Shared writing is a practice where we create a text
together using the kids ideas. What we do here is an adaptation where using the
kids oral production from previous days we complete with them a text with gaps
being either whole words or parts. The helper writes in a big piece of paper
while the others have their own sheet.

We are making a creative book based on the jungle book story. We are using different types of papers and materials:

We learned lots of things about explorers and
the importance of preserving nature and treating jungle animals well.
One of my friends from the States was spending some time in the Amazonian Rainforest so he sent us pictures of his time in there. Also Roberto, the PE teacher brought some pictures of his trip to Thailand so we could see tigers, elephants and snakes.
WHAT DO EXPLORERS NEED.
We discuss what explorers need when they go to the jungle.

Then we made our own explorers to add to our jungle bulletin board.
WE THE EXPLORERS and THE EASTER BUNNY INCIDENT.
We made our hats and binocular to become explorers.
We were a bit worried because the Easter Bunny might not recognize our classroom as it was a jungle. But.... he did:
so we got "explorers ready" and went outside to look for our eggs:
